1Fiji Island: New moon was SIGHTED so Fiji Muslim League has announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014. There is no possibility of this sighting!

 

2New Zealand:  FIANZ announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014 based on sighting in Fiji. There is no possibility of this sighting!

 


3Malaysia:  Government announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014. There is no possibility of this sighting!

 


4Singapore:  Government announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014. There is no possibility of this sighting!

 


5Indonesia:  Government announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014. Depite clear horizons moon was not sighted via naked eye or Optical Aids!

 


6Saudi Arabia:  Government announced the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014 after CLAIMED moon sighting. There is no possibility of this sighting!

 


7South Africa:  New moon was SIGHTED so the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014.

 

8UK:  It was cloudy in UK but since new moon was SIGHTED so the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014.

 

9Canada:  New moon was SIGHTED (in Chilli and South Africa) so the start of Shawwal from Monday the 28th of July 2014 (Crescent Committee, Hilal Committee of Metropolitan Toronto & Vicinity)

1Brunei:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Government has announced the start of Shawwal from Tuesday the 29th of July 2014.

3South India:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the start of Shawwal from Tuesday the 29th of July 2014, fasting started a day earlier.

4 Saudi Arabian Astronomer: The Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr is likely to fall on Tuesday (July 29), marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. According to Ali Al-Shukri, it will be difficult to see the crescent on Sunday because the moonlight will be dim and the moon will set around 11 minutes after the sunset.

Dr Ali Mohammad Al-Shukri (Physics Department) King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and member of Saudi's official Eastern Provence Hilal Sighting Committee states that there is no possibility of moon sighting from any Islamic countries on Sunday the 27th of July 2014. Shawwal 1435 Calculations for South Africa:

SA Astronomical Observatory Predictions: The new crescent Moon can generally be seen only if it sets at least 46 minutes after the Sun has set. Astronomers at SA Astronomical Observatory have how ever sighted the Moon earlier – setting at least 33 min after sunset – from Signal Hill in Cape Town, but only if the age of the Moon is at least 24hr old at sunset. May be visible with optical aid from the southern Atlantic  and the southernmost tip of Africa.

Shawwal 1435 Calculations for Pakistan:

Shaykh (Mufti) Sultan Alam (HA) (Head Astronomy department, Jamitaur-Rasheed, Karachi) states that if the horizons are clear then there is clear chance of moon being sighted in Southern Pakistan and slim chance of sighting in Northern Pakistan on the 29th of Ramadhan equivalent to Monday the 28th of July 2014.

1 The Astronomical New Moon is on Saturday July 26, 2014 at 22:42 UT. There is no possibility of moonsighting on that day.

2Turkey:  Turkish Government had already announced the start of Ramadhan from Saturday the 28th of June 2014.

 

29JUNE2014:

1Indonesia:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Indonesian Government has announced the start of Ramadhan from Sunday the 29th of June 2014.

 

2Saudia Arabia:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Saudi Government has announced the start of Ramadhan from Sunday the 29th of June 2014.

 

3Egypt:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Egyptian Government has announced the start of Ramadhan from Sunday the 29th of June 2014.

 

4Jordan:  New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Jordanian Government has announced the start of Ramadhan from Sunday the 29th of June 2014.

2 India: New moon was NOT SIGHTED so the Imarat-e-Sharaiyah-Hind have announced the start of Ramadhan from Monday the 30th of June 2014.
