Safar 1436 Announcements:

23NOV2014 (Start):

1 Saudi Arabia: Moon Sigting is NOT ATTEMPTED but 1st of Safar is declared according to Umm al-Qura Calendar from Sunday the 23rd of November. This "sighting" wasn't possible either by naked eye or telescope!

24NOV2014 (Start):

 

1 Turkey: Moon Sigting is NOT ATTEMPTED but 1st of Safar is declared according by Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığıhas from Monday the 24th of November. There isn't much in terms of actual moon sighting attempts in Turkey for any months!

 

2 South Africa: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

3 United Kingdom: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

4 United States: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

5 Canada: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

6 Pakistan: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

7 Morocco: Moon was SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Monday the 24th of November.

 

25NOV2014 (Start):

 

1 India (Gujarat): Moon was NOT SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Tuesday the 25th of November.

 

2 SriLanka: Moon was NOT SIGHTED so 1st of Safar is declared from Tuesday the 25th of November.

The Astronomical New Moon is on November 22, 2014 (Saturday) at 12:32 UTC and there isn't much of a chance of this moon being seen anywhere with the naked eye. Slight chance of Visibility with optical aid over a small region of the Pacific.
